Grandpa Hampton

On our way home from a great weekend we stopped at Grandpa & Karen Hampton  house. The girls were so much fun playing with soccer balls.  Elsie was showing off her mean volleyball skills and Sarah was loving the texture of the balls.

DInner and Play area

After Hanging with the Mechams all afternoon we were tired and a little hungry. We had rooms in St George  after we checked in we walked to Denny's.
Elsie wanted to make sure what she was getting.

Little Sarah had  been such a great baby all day, but her teeth starting hurting while at dinner.  Her 2nd tooth was coming in.

Back at the motel the girls played on bed together,
They were having so much fun, so we decided to take them to the play area they had at the motel. It had a ball pit and a climbing tubes with a slide.

I don't know who had the most fun the girls or the moms.

Mecham Christmas Party 2011

We all drove down to Hurricane Saturday morning and  the weather was nice!  WE have driven this so may times at when it has been a blizzard and you can't see.   We were so blessed!   7 of the 8 kids were there Susan was unable to come due to her pregnancy ( A little boy due in February)    and out of 32 grand kids  7 or 8 were missing.  we had a huge crowd and Karen did a great job putting it on this year!

Elsie was the star of the party, she was running and dancing all over the place,  She was so cute playing with the older  kids Nate did tell her since she could not dribble or shoot she was no fun to play basketball with.
    Bailey, Serenity, Elise and Emma

Elsie is scared of beards,  She won't come near Dawson. and when she saw Santa she was no amused!.   Sara was taking a nap and missed Santa,

These two girls have Lance wrapped around his finger!   He loves them both so much, he will even let  me take his picture and not complain.

Of course the girls loved to see Great Grandma Mecham she wanted her picture taken with both girls.

Elsie

Sweet Elise

Today is Elsie's day to be featured on the blog.   This little girl has grown up so fast!  She is now 1 year old.  And she will be a big sister in May!  ( Brooke is  due May 21)
Her personality has started to come  out and she is so  funny!   She loves to give Grammie kisses and run from Papa ( for so me reason she is scared of him)

As the first grandchild she is teaching us how to baby proof our home  once again.

We love having her  spending time with her, every time we see her she has learned something new.  She loves to copy Brooke and now has learned to do a fake cough and cover her mouth.

Grammie keeps buying her girly things, but I th ink she is going to be a tom boy!   She loves to play with  balls and her mom and dad are teaching already how to play volleyball!

We are so grateful for this little girl in our lives, she has brought so much fun into our family.  We love her so very much!

Sarah

I wanted to post some cute pictures of   Sarah and Elsie but each one deserves their own blog so today I am going to do Sarah.
Sarah was born May 3rd and had to spend the next few days in the nicu due to her blood sugar levels.  She came home on Mothers day.
She  is such a good baby!  It is funny I never hear her cry ( ok maybe a few times) and  she is always smiling.

And she has hair!  Lots of hair!    Sharlene  always has her hair done so cute!  She even can get it in 2 pigtails!

She is so dang cute she even makes The U Of U Look good!

We are so blessed to have her in our family!  We love her so very much!

Monte's Baptism

 Scott's letter today:
Monte got baptized. I had the privilege of baptizing him personally so it was a pretty great experience. I'll attach the baptismal picture. It's a pretty festive picture if I do say so myself. It was definitely a festivus miracle
He has been telling us about Monte for awhile, Scott has really gotten attached to him.
This is from a earlier letter

“We knocked into this old guy a couple weeks ago named Monte Ross.  I think I mentioned him last email.  We've been teaching him, and we had a really good lesson on Friday and set a solid date for him to be baptized because he's been really iffy about it.  He said that once he knew the Book of Mormon was true he would be baptized.  Then he texted us (a 72 year old guy, texts us all the time, like a teenage girl!) on Saturday and said that he was ready to be baptized.  AWESOME.  He used to be a preacher for the Church of Christ - those guys are way hard to preach the gospel to.  So yeah, we're baptizing a church of Christ preacher.  We're his 5th set of missionaries to teach him, and he finally wants to be baptized.”

Scott's mission so far

I thought I would update on Scott's mission.   He is currently in  Georgetown Texas outside of  Austin.  He has had a few baptisms and is doing awesome!

Plan of Salvation outline for Michael and Malcolm

our Purpose of the Book of Mormon and Process of Knowing that the Book of Mormon is true white board for Monte Ross and Valerie (Monte accepted baptism after this lesson)

He is such a dork still.  Here is his mission truck with a wienerschnitzel hot dog on it, I sent it to him as a joke.    We do love our chili cheese dogs!
I  am very proud of Scott serving a mission, he has grown so much since he has left.  We miss him  very much, but we know he is doing the lords work.

Is it to late to post Halloween?

This year Kylie got a idea to pose the Elsie and Sarah in pumpkins.   So with the help of Lance trying to find a big enough pumpkin.  We set out to take picture of the 2 girls.
Sarah is  5 months here.

She was so dang cute in there! very little.   Then we did Elsie, who was 11 months and did not like the cold pumpkin at all. nor would she cooperate.

here are the best 2 of the session:
I  think they are the two cutest little pumpkins ever!
